My CALL Toolkit

This is a list of some of the tools that I used to create this website and for other projects throughout my CALL course.


Tool
Description
SeaMonkey
SeaMonkey is a tool for create web-friendly documents.  Images can be imported to SeaMonkey and links can be created.  I used this tool when creating my worldbriding space.
Fire FTP
This is a tool that is used to upload files to a website.  It can only be used with Firefox.  I used this tool when creating my worldbridging space.
Audacity
Audacity is a recording and editing software.  This is a great tool to use for creating and editing podcasts.  I used this tool when creating my obstacle analysis podcast.  I have also experimented with it in my current teaching situation. 
PowerPoint
PowerPoint is a software for creating presentation slides.  These slides can be animated, have music, or other sound effects.  I used this tool when creating my obstacle analysis powerpoint.  I have also used this a lot in my teaching situation. 
Slideshare
This is a website for sharing slides.  PowerPoint presentations can be uploaded to this website.  This makes them easier to be viewed on a website.
Chinswing
This is an online site that is used to start discussions of any kind.  People can start discussion as well respond to others.  I used this site for two online discussion for part of my portfolio.
Flickr
This is a free website that can be used to store and share images. 
Bubbl.us
This is a website that is used to create brainstorming webs.  The webs can be made into PDFs or images.  The images can then be uploaded to a webpage.  I used this tool as part of my reflection report. 
BubbleShare
This site is used to create slideshows with photographs. Along with the photographs comment bubbles, voice, and other effects can be added.  I used this for part of my final exam.
