| Reporter:
Hello! What is your name? Me: Hi! I am Alice. Reporter: Where are you come from? Me: I come from Taiwan. Reporter: What is your major now? Me: Now my major is TEFL (Teaching English Foreign Language). But my education background is Finance and Accounting. Reporter: Why do you change your major? Me: I have worked in cram school for 4 years in Taiwan. In Taiwan, there are so many kinds of cram schools according to different acquirements, such as adult language center. Actually, all my customers are children, who are studying in Elementary school. I hope that one day I can own my cram school but my education background is not enough. I need to get diploma relative with language. So I change my major in order to pursue my dream. Reporter: Why do you choose this state? Me: I only have two reasons: saving money and approaching New York City. This state doesn't have shopping tax. It helps me a lot. I don't afford too much additional cost. Moreover, my favorite city is New York City. I couldn't forget my first ESL school "Columbia University." The program and the teachers of the Columbia University changed my life. I have many happy memory in New York City. New Hampshire is near to the New York. I have many chances to visit New York City again. Reporter: What is your teaching philosophy? Me: "Don't give up" is my teaching philosophy. I know that not all the students are smart and active. Actually, they are not stupid, they just need a good teacher to inspire their hearts. I always remember the ESL teachers of Columbia University because they inspired my heart and changed my life. The teachers always keep patience to treat each student. For me, changing major is a big challenge. I have graduated from university for 4 years. I told these teachers my situations. Then, they told me "Don't give up. We never give up any students." I can't believe that these short sentences change my life. I never forget these sentences. Similarly, I will tell my students "Don't give up." Reporter: Where is your school in NH? Me: My school is SNHU (Southern of New Hampshire University). It is a great school. In here, my dreams will come true. Now I have done all the courses. I will go home to perform my next dream. |
